Our Dream
Vineyard Community Church…A place to encounter God
This is all we
want to be…a place where we can meet with God, a place where others can
come to meet Him, and a place that cares to bring His presence wherever
we go. Our dream is that no one would be able to meet one of our
members, watch one of our lives, come to one of our parties, visit one
of our services, or participate in one of our service projects, without
encountering the Living God.
How can this happen? Imagine
you walk into a room for the first time and all around you, you find
people from different cultures relating, loving, and supporting each
other. You’ve just encountered God. Then, as you spend more time
there, you begin to find yourself having a really good time, even
laughing out loud. You’ve just encountered God. Another time you
tag along on a service project and find yourself coming alongside
someone who is down and out. Something in your heart changes.
You’ve just encountered God.
Then the weekend comes, and you decide to take in the Sunday service.
Unbelievably, right in the middle of singing a song, you feel a peace you’ve never known. You’ve just encountered God.
This is our hope and prayer, that as all of these things work together,
radical loving relationships, radical lives of service, and the radical
presence of God, the result will be an environment where we encounter
God daily and others can meet him for the first time.
